History

In 1960 Billy Green started Green's Furniture. Billy could make anything with a set of tools, which also allowed him previously to be a fitter and turner at the old Fairfield paper-mill. He attracted many people to drive down High Street with his joyful and friendly nature. Billy treated all his customers like friends and treated the shop like his home. For nearly 25 years Billy dedicated his life to this shop and giving his customers the best service. Paul Green, Billy's son, still runs this special small business to this day and is still practicing his father's genial services six decades on.
